DiSabatino Construction Company, an equal opportunity employer, is looking for a construction estimator. At DiSabatino Construction, we build complex commercial projects for clients who value clarity, trust, and follow-through. As our volume of work has grown, so has the need to give estimating the focus it deserves – not something squeezed in between jobsite meetings and project closeouts.

We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team and play a key role in shaping projects from the very beginning. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of building accurate, thoughtful estimates – and wants to stay focused in preconstruction while still being connected to clients and project teams.

You’ll work closely with our leadership, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to help us pursue the right work, price it well, and set our projects up for success.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare detailed and conceptual estimates for commercial and multifamily construction projects across multiple sectors
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities
  • Lead subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, and bid leveling
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and scope reviews
  • Collaborate with project managers and leadership to align estimates with execution strategies
  • Support client-facing discussions related to budgeting, cost options, and value decisions
  • Assist with proposals and select business development efforts as needed
  • Maintain organized estimating documentation and historical cost data to support future work

How This Role Fits

  • This is a dedicated estimating role, not a PM/Estimator hybrid
  • You’ll report directly to the Vice President of Project Management and Estimating
  • You’ll have a seat at the table during early project conversations and client meetings
  • Your work directly influences which projects we pursue – and how successful they are

What We’re Looking For

  • 4-10+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, scopes, and subcontractor coordination
  • Comfort working with clients, architects, and trade partners
  • Proficiency with estimating and takeoff tools (Excel, Bluebeam, and similar platforms)
  • Clear communication skills – written, verbal, and in meetings
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bids at once
  • A collaborative mindset and steady approach under deadline pressure

A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience matters most.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $75,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Long-term opportunity with a growing, family-owned firm

Why DiSabatino

We’re a hands-on, family-led company with a long track record in the region. Our estimators aren’t hidden behind spreadsheets — they’re trusted partners in the process, with real influence and visibility. If you’re looking for a place where good work is noticed, decisions are made quickly, and relationships matter, we’d like to talk.

  • Experience working with Superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams
  • Confident, clear communicator – in meetings, emails, and project documentation
  • Organized, steady under pressure, and comfortable making decisions
  • Proficiency with construction software and standard project management tools
