DiSabatino Construction has completed the construction of an addition to the Courtyard by Marriott in Newark, DE.

The project consisted of a new addition to the existing hotel, including demolition, concrete, misc metals, carpentry, drywall, doors and frames, flooring, painting, cabinetry, kitchen equipment, lighting, power, telecommunications, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm work.

The hotel is partially run by the students in the Department of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management at the University of Delaware.

DiSabatino Construction has completed the construction of a Test Kitchen for Gordon Food Service in Newark, DE. The project consisted of the renovation of the space, including demolition, concrete, misc metals, carpentry, drywall, doors and frames, flooring, painting, cabinetry, kitchen equipment, lighting, power, telecommunications, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm work.

The Test Kitchen is a space for Gordon Food Service to showcase its goods to current and potential customers.

DiSabatino Construction has completed the construction of the Vita Nova Restaurant at the University of Delaware Trabant University Center in Newark, DE. The project consisted of the renovation of the space, including demolition, concrete, misc metals, carpentry, drywall, doors and frames, flooring, painting, cabinetry, kitchen equipment, lighting, power, telecommunications, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm work.

The restaurant is run by the students in the Department of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management.

The project included the complete rehabilitation of 50 apartments units throughout 13 different buildings. These buildings ranged in age from 87 to 127 years old. With a mix of one and two bedroom units in need of varying degrees of restoration, this part of the project required extensive planning and detailed assessments of existing conditions.

This project also included the construction of a new building which contained three more two bedroom apartments and some common spaces like a leasing office, laundry facility, and community rooms.

The completion of the project meant continued progress in the restoration and rehabilitation of downtown historic Wilmington.

DiSabatino Construction has completed the construction of the Brandywine Conference Center at the Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington, DE. The project consisted of the renovation of the 8th floor of the Hospital, including demolition, concrete, misc metals, carpentry, drywall, doors and frames, flooring, painting, cabinetry, medical equipment, lighting, power, telecommunications, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm work.

There are several different spaces including a training rooms, conference rooms, and lecture halls.

DiSabatino Construction has completed the construction of Launch Trampoline Park in Newark, DE.

The project consisted of the fitting out of a warehouse space, including demolition, concrete, masonry, misc metals, carpentry, roofing, doors and frames, flooring, painting, kitchen equipment, lighting, power, telecommunications, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm work.

There are several different spaces within the trampoline park, including a large main bouncing court, 2 dodge ball areas, slam dunk basketball lanes, a foam pit jump, party/event space, video arcade, offices, restrooms, kitchen space, customer service areas, and a prize redemption area.

DiSabatino Construction has completed an addition and renovation project at the Newark Senior Center. The project included constructing a temporary kitchen for the Senior Center to use during construction, as well as demolition, concrete, masonry, misc metals, carpentry, EIFS, roofing, doors and frames, flooring, painting, kitchen equipment, lighting, power, telecommunications, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm work.

The addition and renovated space include a mixture of storage areas, offices, and food prep areas.

DiSabatino Construction has completed a major fit out of over 19,000 square feet on the 9th Floor of the Hercules Building in Downtown Wilmington. Over 15,000 square feet of the renovation is new administrative offices for TD Bank, and approximately 4,000 square feet is the common areas, hallways, and elevator lobbies.

The project was completed with an aggressive schedule in less than 3 months. The project included demolition, new partitions, millwork, glass entry doors, ceilings, lights, power, telecommunication, paint, vinyl wall coverings, wall tile, window shades, appliances, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm.

The space includes a mixture of open work areas, cubicles, offices, and several meeting and collaboration spaces. A servery and lunch room are also included in the space.

DiSabatino Construction has completed a major renovation of the Atrium in the Hercules Building at 1313 North Market Street in downtown Wilmington, DE. This project was a multi-phased transformation of a multi-tiered, large open space filled with fountains and plants to a single level, multi-use common area lobby.

DiSabatino Construction finished a $13.5 million complete renovation project at Bethel Villa Apartments in Wilmington, DE. This 18 month project involved the total renovation of 3 full city blocks including 150 apartments in 12 buildings, all of the common spaces, replacement of the exteriors, and construction of a community center and community playground.

DiSabatino worked with a successful team, including Architectural Alliance from Wilmington, DE and 23 subcontractors to bring the project to completion ahead of schedule and with zero injuries. DiSabatino turned each of the building back over to the Owner an average of 26 days earlier than originally planned. This aggressive schedule allowed the Owner to put residents back into their new apartments sooner.

DiSabatino Construction and the project team were recognized at ABC’s Annual Awards Dinner with a Merit Award for Excellence in Construction for the Bethel Villa Apartment Renovation Project. This was a successful project because of the cooperation and site leadership from each member of the project team.

DiSabatino Construction Company has just completed a fit-out of a medical suite in the Helen F Graham Cancer Center at Christiana Care Health Services in Christiana, DE. The project included renovation of over 2,300 square feet of space in The Pavilion at the Cancer Center.

The complete renovation included all new concrete, architectural woodwork, doors and windows, walls, ceramic tiles, ceilings, flooring, paint and wall coverings, cubicle partitions, bathrooms, mechanical systems, fire protection, electrical, voice and data, fire alarms system, and other miscellaneous items.

DiSabatino Construction finished the project ahead of schedule and was pleased with the successful teamwork between the architect, Christiana Care, DiSabatino Construction, and the final customers:Dr Pahnke and Dr Whitney.
