DiSabatino completed a project at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Hockessin, Delaware. The project included an addition, the renovation of several areas, and the replacement of several systems.
The addition to the church features a new front entrance and front gathering area. Renovations to the church included a new marble floor around the altar, and new lectern, replacing the overhead lights, renovating the choir loft, and various other work.
The brand new Family Resource Center on the third floor of the AI duPont Hospital for Children has been completed by DiSabatino Construction. Working with a tight schedule, DiSabatino’s project team worked hard to complete this project so the Center could open its doors to children and families who will utilize this new area for years to come.
The project included several common living areas, a kitchen, several sleeping rooms for the parents and families of patients, a large recreation area, a library and learning areas, some administrative rooms, and a laundry room. These areas will all be used to create a community for the parents and families of patients at the Children’s Hospital.
Working with Mitchell Architects throughout the project, DiSabatino was able to deliver a finished product that exceeded the expectations of the facilities management at the AI duPont Hospital.

This former site of the Fountain Motel is now home to eight brand new three story townhomes. The site includes garage and off street parking, a pool, and grounds. The townhouses have four bedrooms, three and a half baths, granite countertops, as well as second story living areas. The site is convenient to Route 1 and the outlets and overlooks the grounds of Rehoboth Elementary. Construction was completed before Labor Day. There are great deals available on them.
This 3,000 square foot custom home is located near South Bethany in a private residential neighborhood. Located on a lagoon near the Assawoman Bay, the project required a piling foundation and extensive engineering to keep it within the setbacks of an extremely tight lot. The house takes advantage of the surrounding environment with several multi-story decks, connected with spiral stairways to give great views and capture breezes all year long. Granite counter tops complete the custom cabinetry throughout. This house is Energy Star certified and meets Energy Star construction standards. This project was completed in late 2007.
DiSabatino Construction Company, along with the Delaware State Housing Authority, and Design Collaborative Inc completed the restoration of the West Quaker Hill Apartment Complex.
The project included the complete rehabilitation of 50 apartments units throughout 13 different buildings. These buildings ranged in age from 87 to 127 years old. With a mix of one and two bedroom units in need of varying degrees of restoration, this part of the project required extensive planning and detailed assessments of existing conditions.
This project also included the construction of a new building which contained three more two bedroom apartments and some common spaces like a leasing office, laundry facility, and community rooms.
The completion of the project meant continued progress in the restoration and rehabilitation of downtown historic Wilmington.
