The Associated Builders and Contractors of Delaware awarded DiSabatino Construction a Diamond Level National STEP Award at the annual Safety Training and Evaluation Process Awards Banquet. The STEP program offers companies an organized approach to analyze and further develop a contractor safety program. The process offers companies a way to evaluate safety and loss prevention while providing a vital, objective method to measure safety program improvements. The awards are presented in five categories: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond.

DiSabatino also won a Silver level Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace Award. DiSabatino continues to welcome all people as employees, suppliers, customers, and partners.

DiSabatino apprentice electrician and graduating vo-tech student, Ryan Hopkins, won the Careers in Construction Award after completing a co-op program with DiSabatino.

On April 19, 2017, a Ribbon Cutting for Phase 1 and Ground Breaking for Phase 2 of the Flats Redevelopment in Wilmington, DE was held. The joint ceremony celebrated the opening of the 72 homes in Phase 1 to residents and the kick off of the construction of the 72 homes in Phase 2.

Remarks were made by several individuals including Delaware Governor John Carney, Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki, US Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, Ben Lovell, Susan Frank, Michael Carper, Winthrop Watson, Anas Ben Addi, Wilmington City Coucil President Hanifa Shabazz, DE Representative Helene Keely, Allen Terrell, and Crisanda Childs. DiSabatino Construction is proud to be the general contractor for both phases of this great project. Phase 2 should be completed in 2018.

DiSabatino Construction Company celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2016 with a party. Employees and their guests enjoyed a fun evening socializing, sharing some special recognitions, and prizes.

DiSabatino Construction has been selected as the Design/Build contractor for the Emergency Department Addition and Renovation at the Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.

The approximately 270 employees of DiSabatino Maintenance Corporation have worked over 14 Years or 5 Million Exposure Hours without a Lost Workday Case. DiSabatino Maintenance provides Maintenance and Construction services to the DuPont Company at DuPont’s Delaware locations as well as some Pennsylvania and New Jersey locations.

DiSabatino Construction is pleased to have been chosen as the General Contractor partner in the redevelopment of The Flats in Wilmington, DE. Earlier this month, The Flats Redevelopment was awarded $1,032,705 in annual Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) funding and $2,560,000 in Housing Development Fund (HDF) funding from the Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) for the Phase 1 redevelopment effort of The Flats located in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware.
